Democratic Accountability

Elevating Youth voice into Policy decision making

Corruption, opacity in municipal budget allocations, and the marginalization of grassroots voices hinder equitable progress. Young people are too often excluded from municipal planning despite bearing the brunt of poor civic infrastructure.

Frontline  Nepal conducts public social audits, civic education on Right to Information (RTI), and policy dialogs between local elected officials and young community leaders to demand accountability and democratic governance.

Civic Initiatives

  • Empowerment of youths and women with civic sense and why? culture.
  • Right to Information (RTI) advocacy and public procurement monitoring.
  • Youth forums on budget transparency and civic rights.
  • Capacity development for newly elected local ward representatives.
  • Interactive public hearing sessions and social accountability scorecard.

Democraic Outcomes

  • Transparent municipal budget allocations aligned with youth and marginalized priorities.
  • Higher civic engagement and leadership among youth and women.
  • Zero-tolerance culture towards bribery and administrative inefficiencies.
  • Youth and the new generation raise the question and fight for the right.
